Privacy Policy

Img100KB (“we”, “this site”) is a free, browser-based image compressor available at img100kb.com. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it. The short version: your images are processed entirely on your own device and are never uploaded, stored or seen by us.

Your images never leave your device

Compression runs locally in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. When you add an image, it is read and re-encoded by your own browser; no image data is transmitted over the network. We have no servers that receive, store or process your photos, and we cannot see them under any circumstances.

Re-encoding also removes all EXIF metadata from the compressed file — including GPS location, capture time and camera details — so the image you download carries no hidden personal data.

What we do not collect

Hosting and technical logs

This site is served through Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may process connection metadata (such as IP addresses) in standard server logs for security, caching and DDoS protection. This happens for any website you visit and is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not receive or review these logs for tracking purposes.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used in aggregate — for example which pages are visited, from which country, and on what kind of device. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as “_ga”) to distinguish visitors and receives technical data about your visit. It never receives your images, which do not leave your device.

Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. The data is processed by Google as described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking analytics scripts in your browser — the compressor works exactly the same either way.

Web fonts

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser fetches these font files, your IP address is technically visible to Google, as with any resource loaded from a third party. Google states that Fonts requests are not used for advertising profiles; see the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children and collects no personal information beyond the aggregate analytics described above.

Changes to this policy

If we add features that change how data is handled — for example an optional “shareable link” upload or advertising — this policy will be updated first, with a new “Last updated” date above.
